With the rapid increase that has taken place in European aquaculture production, there is a real need for an easily accessible Quality Assurance Manual which sets out basic operational procedures for good fish farm management,  including basic fish health maintenance.

The present manual has been updated by the ORION project which has made it freely available as one of its Internet resources. It is hoped that it may help one of the basic problems faced in fish farming which is still typified by small and medium-sized enterprises.

Many of these are located in remote areas and therefore prefer on-the-job training which can be found in an extremely simplified form in this ORION resource.
